PostBus Escholzmatt (LU) - Schallenberg-Pass - Thun (BE)
Schallenberg is popular for excursions among families, hikers and cyclists. From the end of April to the end of October 2024, the adventure-region is conveniently accessible on weekends on route 252 from Escholzmatt to Thun.
Enjoy the adventure region with lunch on the Schallenberg, a family outing, a walk along Lake Thun or explore one of the many hikes and bike trails. Travel comfortably there and back by bus, because the journey through the beautiful Entlebuch and Emmental is already worth the trip.
The Schallenberg (route 252) runs from Escholzmatt to Marbach, Schangnau, Eggiwil, Röthenbach im Emmental to Steffisburg and Thun. On Saturdays, Sundays and general public holidays, PostBus and the STI offer four journeys in both directions. In Schangnau you can change to route 251 to Kemmeriboden and in Röthenbach im Emmental you can reach the Chuderhüsi observation tower by changing once to the BLS hikers'bus (route 271).
